Terms of service.

This site is run by Gaby Oron, publishing as Astra Echoes, based in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at hello@astraechoes.co.uk. By using the site or signing up to anything on it, you agree to these terms.

You're welcome to read, browse, share links and quote short passages with credit. Please don't scrape the site, hammer the forms, try to get around access controls, or use it for anything unlawful. We may change, move or remove content at any time, and we don't promise the site will always be available — it's a small operation, and sometimes things go down for maintenance.

We give away novellas and sample chapters in exchange for joining the mailing list. Those files are for your own personal reading. Please don't re-post, redistribute or sell them, upload them to file-sharing or AI-training sites, or strip the author's name from them. The offer can change or be withdrawn without notice, and you can unsubscribe from the list at any time — the books you've already downloaded stay yours to read.

Delivery is handled by third-party services (see the privacy policy for who they are). If a download link fails, email us and we'll send another.

Subscribers get news about the books — new releases, chapters, behind-the-scenes notes and the occasional offer. We won't sell or rent the list. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is immediate. You must be 16 or over to subscribe.

We don't sell anything on this site directly. Links to retailers (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Apple Books and others) and to the merchandise shop take you to their platforms, and your purchase is governed by their terms, prices and returns policies. Some retailer links are affiliate links: as an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you.

If you apply to be an advance reader and we send you a pre-release copy, it's provided free, for review purposes, and it stays confidential until the book is published — please don't share the file or post about unrevealed plot details before release. Reviews are welcome and should be honest; a free copy never buys a good one. We choose readers at our discretion and can't promise a copy to everyone who applies.

The books, chapters, characters, names, worlds, artwork, logos and the text of this site are the copyright of Gaby Oron unless stated otherwise, and all rights are reserved. Fan art, reviews, quotes and non-commercial fan works that credit the source are welcome and appreciated. Anything commercial — merchandise, adaptations, paid content, or using the work to train or prompt AI models — needs written permission first.

Third-party names and marks that appear on the site (retailers, platforms, tools) belong to their owners and are used for identification only.

When you email us, apply for an advance copy, or reply to a newsletter, you keep ownership of what you write. You give us permission to use it for the purpose you sent it — answering you, choosing readers, fixing a problem. If we'd like to quote a review or a message publicly, we'll ask first.

Astra Echoes has accounts on social platforms, and we use scheduling tools to post to those accounts. Each platform is governed by its own terms and privacy policy, and our posts there don't change those. Links from this site to other sites are provided for convenience; we don't control them and aren't responsible for their content.

The site and everything we give away are provided as they are. The stories are fiction; nothing on the site is advice of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for loss arising from your use of the site or the free files — for example a download that doesn't work on your device, or the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

We may update these terms as the site and the series grow. The date at the top tells you when they last changed; material changes will be flagged to subscribers. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of the consumer laws where you live.
